Conflict Resolution PolicyBelow is a step-by-step communication process for dealing with conflicts. We feel it is important to follow this process because it supports our greatest resources - our players and coaches. The player and coach are involved in each step of the process. Enforcing this process helps instill responsibility in our players in teaching them to deal with miscommunications and conflicts themselves. It also helps foster better relationships with our coaches. In the end, creating a better experience for everyone involved. 1 - Unless someone's well being is in immediate danger, communication regarding conflicts should always take place away from practice and competitions. A phone call or e-mail is often times enough to clear up any miscommunication. If necessary, time to meet in person is always a welcome next step. 2 - The player with the conflict talks to their coach. 3 - If the conflict goes unresolved, the player and parent make an appointment to meet with the coach. 4 - If the conflict is still unresolved, the player, parent, coach, and club director will meet.
